Gary Chastagner, professor and plant pathologist in the Department of Plant Pathology, Washington State University at Puyallup Research and Extension Center, was honored with the Herb and Helen Plumb Award on September 9, 2022, at the annual meeting of Pacific Northwest Christmas Tree Association (PNWCTA) in Portland, Oregon. This is the association’s highest award of the grower group that represents operations in California, Oregon, and Washington to appreciate for Chastagner’s contributions to the Christmas tree industry.
