Achour Amiri, assistant professor of the Department of Plant Pathology, Washington State University (WSU) at Tree Fruit Research & Extension Center, Wenatchee, is one of the two winners of the Pacesetter Award for FY2022 from the WSU Office of Research. He was selected for this award as a promising junior tenure/tenure-track faculty member who has set new standards of achievement in successfully leading research grant funding, publications, and citations while at WSU. Amiri will receive his award during the Research Week Awards Ceremony on Friday, October 21, 2022.
