Our Commitment to Providing Community Resources & Support

As part of Washington State University and the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS), the Department of Plant Pathology Community Resource Committee is committed to creating and maintaining a positive learning and working environment for students, staff, and faculty, as well as for the community members we serve across the state of Washington.

In concordance with WSU’s Land Grant mission, the CRC committee is committed to providing resources to promote widespread and equitable access to education, research, and community outreach opportunities for all members of our society. The CRC committee is also dedicated to developing a departmental culture that is free from intimidation and discrimination, where accountability to one another is built on trust and a shared commitment to a supportive environment, and in which all individuals feel valued, regardless of life experiences, backgrounds, and work locations across the state.

To achieve our goals, we invite and host seminar and workshop speakers from WSU and outside institutions that can provide our departmental members with enhanced education, resources, and training in specific areas that will help advance our goal of cultivating a sense of community across our department, CAHNRS, and the broader Washington State University community.
