Assistantships

Now accepting applications for assistantships

We are accepting applications for Graduate Research Assistantships for students working toward MS or PhD degrees in Plant Pathology.

Assistantships may be available for students to work in a variety of research areas. Student thesis projects range from basic research on host responses and pathogen biology to applied research on disease control at field research stations.

Positions are limited and students are individually selected by faculty members with matching interests who have an opening for a graduate student; research assistantships are primarily funded by grants.

Academic student employees (ASE’s) are represented by the WSU/UAW collective bargaining agreement.

ARCS Fellowship

U.S. citizens who have a GPA of 3.5 or above and meet other qualifying conditions may be eligible for a prestigious ARCS fellowship, which provides $7,500/yr for three consecutive years (in addition to any research or teaching assistantships received).  All eligible applicants will be considered; nominations are limited.
