Sam Smith Visits

Dr. Samuel H. Smith shared his insights and experiences in higher education with Plant Pathology gradSam Smith 3.3 smuate students, postdocs and faculty during a March 4, 2016 reception on the WSU-Pullman campus.   Dr. Smith, the eighth president of Washington State University (1985-2000) and an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology, emphasized the importance of earning a graduate degree and encouraged the students and postdocs in attendance to think broadly about career opportunities that their advanced degree will open to them.
