Welcome Dalphy Harteveld
Graduate students met with new staff member and guest seminar speaker, postdoctoral research associate Dr. Dalphy Harteveld, to discuss ongoing research in the Dept. of Plant Pathology. Dr. Harteveld received her Ph.D from The University of Queensland in Australia where she studied diseases of apple caused by Alternaria species under the supervision of Dr. Andre Drenth. Currently Dr. Harteveld is studying blueberry pathology with Dr. Tobin Peever. Specifically, Dr. Harteveld will be studying the disease cycle of the Mummy Berry of blueberry and gene-flow among populations of blueberry and raspberry pathogens.
