Fungus threatening bananas
The United Nations issued a warning Monday (April 14) of a new race of fungus that is threatening the Cavendish banana. Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense Tropical Race 4 has already destroyed thousands of acres of bananas in Southeast Asia and could reach the Latin America within a decade.
