The Global Case Competition is a WSU event, organized by the Office of International Programs, that brings students together to develop solutions to complex global issues with local implication. http://ip.wsu.edu/global-learning/gcc/home.html
The 2013 Competition organizers invited students from WSU to form six member teams to analyze and submit a written two page proposal that outlined innovative solutions and recommendations for a company wishing to expand its global presence in India and in other rapid-growth markets. Part of the proposal was to address ways to create an office in the city and to employ both local and international workers. In addition the proposal needed to address environmental and cultural issues, and be sensitive to the company’s ethic of Corporate responsibility.
Each team had to include at least two graduate students, two undergraduate students and represent at least two departments and one satellite campus in addition to the Pullman campus. Five teams were chosen to move to the final round of the competition and give a 10 minute oral presentation of their proposal to a panel of judges on Monday April 1st (3:30 to 5:30 pm) in the Smith Center for Undergraduate Education.
