Plant Pathology graduate students Sean McCotter, Iqbal Aujla, Andrea Garfinkel, Teresa Jardini, Sean Mullahy, and Chongjing (Robert) Xia presented a poster “Multiple phylogenetic species of morels (Morchella) occur in landscape settings in the Pacific Northwest” at the annual meeting of the Mycological Society of America held June 8-11, 2014 in the Kellogg Center on the campus of Michigan State University, East Lansing. The poster presented the results of an Advanced Fungal Biology (PlP 526) laboratory project the students completed in Spring 2014 under the supervision of instructors Tobin Peever and Lori Carris.   Plant Pathology technician Mike Adams provided advice and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) images of morel ascospores to lab project and was a co-author on the poster. The poster was presented by Sean McCotter.
